    Ask for “dry loop” dsl.

I don’t know the answer. But, yes AT&T is a ripoff, they nickel and dime you to death. When I couldn’t get all the features I was suppose to get according to their Website, I told them I’ll be outta here within a month. Well it only took 8 days, and I was in Vonage. Great switch!

Technically, AT&T can do it for you.
    Legally, AT&T should accomodate you.
The trick will be in getting them to cooperate with your request.
Ask for “Dry-Loop DSL” or “Naked DSL” only service.
