What is the best business calling plan out there besides ATT. Is Voip better? Is vonage a good service to have?

Chris R asked:

I am trying to choose a better business calling plan because ATT is to expensive. Is Vonage ok? I would need a plan with two lines and a fax line. I dont make a lot of long distance calls. I would need to have it advertised.

I’ve had Vonage since January 2006 without any complaints or problems whatsoever. I have the unlimited $24.99 plan and love it. I can also send a fax by having the unlimited monthly plan very easily. They have excellent customer service too.

To advertise and be able to AFFORD it, you need a traditional land line for access e yellow pages.
Check for other business providers in your area, like Eschelon or Integra
They are one in the same depending on geographics
When running a business you need fast reliable, trouble free service. Vonage cannot promise you that, even though they claim to.

Asking for the Best business calling plan can be a loaded question.
I myself never call any company as the best. Everyone will have a different experience with any given VoIP service and rate it accordingly.
For business grade VoIP service, you may also want to consider companies like Packet8, CallCentric, InPhonex.

Whatever service you pick, test it out completely and ensure you are completely satisfied with the VoIP service before pulling the plug on your AT&T business service. With VoIP often comes unexpected technical issues related to equipment and Internet connectivity.
