    One thing to keep in mind is the recent bankruptcy of SUN ROCKET VOIP so don’t just go by price. It’s also hard to tell how small your small business is – because if you only need a couple numbers, nothing wrong with Skype – if you need more, stick with a more reliable company like Covad even if it costs you a few bucks more because you don’t want to be like when Sun Rocket goes down – who owns your nmbers? What;’s next … and also your business plays a part in it. If you rely on yellow page business, better spend money to get a number that’s not going away … but if you’re a consultant, at worst, you can call or email all your clients with a new number.

    You can also try your cable company – most offer small business VOIP now also.

    Or even a service like GRAND CENTRAL which will forward numbers ….

    I run a small business and VOIP.com is great, I have a friend that they run everything on Packet8 and that works great for him too. Here is a good place to compare:
