Skype To Work On N800

If you have a Nokia N800 tablet phone, you might be happy to learn that the new software update has support for Skype. Now, whenever your Nokia 800 is within network range, you will be able to make your calls via Skype instead of over your carrier’s network. While this might not be that big of a deal to most people, it will be to those who would like to use Skype for international calling on their cell phones.

As more cell phones become VoIP enabled, or, as the N800 is, completely web enabled. More calls will continue to be routed over the internet instead of cell towers. If you are interested in getting an N800, try Letstalk or one of Inphonic’s Affiliates since they usually have the best prices on the net. You can also try getting one through eBay if you don’t need a phone with a plan.

For those of you who don’t know what Skype is, it is a softphone application that allows it’s users to make web based telephone calls, as well as receive them. For more information, visit Skype.com. If you are interested in more information about the N800 Software update, please visit MaEmo.org
