This service will be readily available for everyone soon so, your center won't last long. The phone companies are now using VoIP to transfer all long distance calls. It's also cheaper for them.

The use of VoIP doesn't bother phone companies. Most of them sell the service. It creates more demand for their DSL services and adds to your monthly bill. A good VoIP service only uses 22K as opposed to the 56K used by standard telephone lines. So it doesn't slow the DSL line down much.

If you are going to create a center where a hundred people might be making VoIP calls at the same time, you're going to need a T1 or faster service and some special routing or PBX equipment. The phone company will be happy to sell it to you.
