Time Warner Cable: What’s It Worth?
It always makes me laugh when some monster company’s stock goes up when it just thinks about doing something. I saw an article today that said Time Warner’s stock went up because they are thinking about maybe, sort of, could be, maybe selling some of their stuff sometime in the next 12 months. In other words, they might be thinking of getting rid of some dead wood, so the stock market rewarded them for the thought. I wonder if their stock will double if they actually have a “movement”; wait, I mean move on one of their thoughts. LOL
I can understand why someone would want to dump AOL, every webmaster in the world has always hated AOL due to their closed network that is run by censors left over from the red hunting era of the 50’s. I do find it interesting though that they might be considering dumping their cable company. I would think that a cable company would be a good money maker, especially since they can now sell “On Demand” games and movies, along with internet phone services. When you can bill people for local and long distance phone service, movies, games, basic cable and premium channels, it’s hard to see why they aren’t a keeper.
But, when we look at the story below that says “SunRocket is out of business with over 200K customers”, there are obviously some companies losing money selling voice over IP. Maybe Time Warner is one of them… but I don’t really know, do you?
